TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR - ALAN CHEESEMAN
Alan Cheeseman revoluntionised the face of junior golf in 1998 by introducing a format where, for the first time, talented juniors would be treated like professionals. Caddies, scoreboards, marquee, sponsorship - experience at first hand being in the spotlight at a premier golf tournament.
The goal was clear: make the players feel important, special. Announcements on the tee, live TV interviews, interaction with the press - opportunities not previously available to juniors anywhere in the world. In realising his vision, Alan established a platform to prepare young talent for life as a touring pro.
In 1999 Alan invited Henry Cooper to become Patron. Shortly afterwards Henry was knighted and The Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters was born.
Alan continues to lead the management team and is a Trustee of the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters Charitable Trust.
