Past Masters

Since its inception in 1998, the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters has witnessed the development of many superb young golfers, many of whom are now making their way in the game. Amongst them are (in alphabetical order):

Yasin Ali, who played in the 2000 Junior Masters, is dividing his playing time between the Main and Challenge Tours.

Seve Benson, a member of the England Elite Squad, played the 2007 Qatar Masters (won by Retief Goosen) and finished a highly creditable 58th. Seve played the 2003 and 2004 Junior Masters.

Oliver Fisher, currently making headlines on the European Tour has benefited from the Junior Masters Trust, but has never actually won the Junior Masters!

James Heath played in two Junior Masters, but just failed on each occasion to win the title. James is now on the main European Tour.

Joost Luiten (Holland) Joost is making headlines on the European Tour and was the 2004 Junior Masters Champion

Ben Parker, based in Germany, has represented England at all levels and in 2005 won the 42nd Junior Orange-Bowl in the USA.

Matt Richardson, who was Junior Masters Champion in 2002 and a member of the 2005 Walker Cup team, is making great progress on the main European Tour.

Zane Scotland won the title in 1999 and two weeks later became the youngest player ever to qualify for the British Open at Carnoustie. Zane is now a full member of the European Tour.

Mike Skelton was our Millennium Champion, and played a total of 3 Junior Masters. Mike went on to represent GB&I in the 2003 Walker Cup and is now on the Europro  and Challenge Tours.
